Today that connection faces a new test: as AI reshapes every industry, Sweden and Europe need the confidence to build, deploy and own their technology on their own terms - digital sovereignty and portability are no longer abstractions, they are prerequisites for competitiveness. For decades I've worked to connect Sweden, the Nordics and the EU with Silicon Valley, the US and Asia. That bridge remains essential - not despite the sovereignty question, but because of it. The strongest European AI capability will be built in dialogue with the world's leading ecosystems, not in isolation from them.
